our story
Jateswar Welfare Association (J.W.A) was established in 2019 by a group of dedicated social workers with a shared vision of social justice. Since our official registration in 2021, we have grown into a vital support system for the underprivileged across West Bengal, focusing on rural development and human dignity.
our foundation
Our strength lies in our community. Led by a Governing Body of 9 experienced members and supported by over 65 passionate volunteers, we work directly at the grassroots level. From local shopkeepers to public supporters, our foundation is built on the trust and contributions of the people we serve.
Commitment to Change

Our mission is to foster a democratic and equitable living environment for all vulnerable groups, especially underprivileged women and children. We aim to provide high-quality access to education, healthcare, and sustainable livelihood opportunities, ensuring social and economic security regardless of status.
our mission
We are committed to creating a society free from discrimination. Through initiatives like the Kisholoy Project for student education and the formation of Women’s Self Help Groups, we work tirelessly to eliminate child labor and empower the next generation to lead independent, successful lives.
We are Helping Hands
At J.W.A., we believe that collective effort leads to significant change. Our hands-on approach ensures that aid reaches the grassroots level—from tribal tea estates to remote rural villages. By focusing on immediate relief and long-term education, we are building a foundation of hope for the next generation.
Education Support
Providing free books, stationary, and educational guidance to over 100 students. We are dedicated to fighting child labor and ensuring every child has a seat in a classroom.
Essential Distribution Drives
Delivering life-saving essentials including food kits, warm clothes, and blankets. We have successfully reached 200+ tribal women and families at Dolmoni Tea Estate and surrounding areas.
Rural Health & Awareness
Organizing medical and eye treatment camps. We provide critical awareness and prevention support for diseases like Covid-19, Malaria, and Dengue to keep our communities healthy.
